Dr Sandhya Pulukool is a senior Rheumatologist at St Stephen’s Hospital, Delhi and a Researcher with a deep interest in Sjogren’s syndrome. Her research spanning over a decade has provided unique insights into the clinical demographics, molecular markers and genomics of Sjogren’s syndrome in India and also the significant differences in the demographics and clinical presentations in Asia vis-a-vis western populations. 

She has been part of national and international research initiatives, including the Sjogren;s Big Data Consortium. She is the co-convenor of the APLAR and Indian Rheumatology Association Special Interest Group on Sjogren’s Syndrome, and has published over 50 publications in international peer reviewed journals.

Dr Sandhya did her undergraduate medical education from Government Medical College, Calicut, her post graduation from JIPMER Puducherry and Post-doctoral Fellowship in Rheumatology at Christian Medical College Vellore. She was previously a faculty at the Christian Medical College Vellore.
